Change mailbox quota Print

The below information outlines how to change the email account quota for reseller clients.  This process will not work for standard cPanel hosting clients - please contact Hosting Australia Support if you need assistance with changing a standard cPanel email account quota.

You can edit the mailbox quota for either 1 single cPanel account, or via the package, which will assign to all accounts using that package.

To edit via account for a single cPanel:

1. Access WHM and go to LIST ACCOUNTS
2. Located the account in question and click the + symbol to the left hand side.
3. Click MODIFY ACCOUNT
4. Under the option "Max Quota per Email Address (MB)" set the applicable quota.
5. Click SAVE

To edit via package, for all accounts using that pacakge:

1. Access WHM and go to EDIT A PACKAGE
2. Locate the package you which to change, click to highlight it and then choose EDIT
3. Under the option "Max Quota per Email Address (MB)" set the applicable quota.
4. Click SAVE

NOTES:

- Best practice is to set the quota in multiples of 1024, as this will neatly display in GB for the client in cPanel. Eg, if you wish to set 4gb, set the quota as 4096mb (4 x 1024mb).
- It is not suggested to use an 'unlimited' quota, as it can potentially fill the entire cPanel very quickly, which will then take all email accounts and the site offline.
