What Version of Outlook Do I have? Print

  • 2

If you need to know what version of Microsoft Outlook you are running, please follow the below steps.

Please note:  For more recent versions follow the "Current Version" process below. If you have an older version, or cant find the steps shown in the current version process, please use the legacy steps shown towards the bottom of this page.

CURRENT VERSION OF OUTLOOK

  1. In Outlook, click File. (If your tool bar in Outlook does not look like the below image, please follow the "Legacy Version" process towards the bottom of this page).

  2. Click Office Account.  If you don't see Office Account, option, click Help. You'll see the product version on the right side of the page.
  3. You'll find the version and build number under Product Information. For example, the following picture shows I have Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus installed. Outlook is part of that suite.

LEGACY VERSION OF OUTLOOK

  1. Start Outlook.
  2. On the Help menu, click About Microsoft Office Outlook.
  3. Verify the version information and the build number to determine the version of Outlook that is installed on your computer.
