Able to receive but not send emails (SMTP Auth) Print

  • smtp, smtp auth, smtp authentication, outgoing mail
  • 2

If you are able to receive emails but can't send, that means that your outgoing server isn't correct for the ISP you're currently using. Every internet service provider has their own outgoing server, and they will not allow you to use the server unless you're currently using their connection.

To start sending emails again.

1. Change mail server to your current ISP

  • SelectĀ Ā top leftĀ

  • Account Settings - Server SettingsĀ

2. Change outgoing mail server to your current ISP. Every ISP's outgoing mail address is different, but they're generally as follows - mail.yourispname.com

  • Server: mail.yourispname.com
  • port: 465
  • Encryption: SSL/TLS
  • Secure Password Authentication (SPA): No
  • Outgoing server authentication: Yes, with the same setting as the incoming server.
