Some unethical companies use methods of access the WHOIS Database, obtaining contact email or phone and then making unsolicited contact. This can result in your inbox being flooded with SPAM and Junk emails.
This is not something Hosting Australia has any control over, it is something that is managed by the domain governing body themselves.
Hosting Australia will not in any circumstances provide your contact details to 3rd parties without your prior approval.
Domain ID Protection is a method of masking your contact details on the public WHOIS database. This will mean less spam emails from scammers and spammers accessing the WHOIS listing. This is done by swapping your personal contact details, with a generic listing.
You can opt to add ID Protection at the time of ordering, or at a later date.
It is highly recommended adding ID Protection during the ordering process, as most unsolicited contact is made on new registrations. This can be selected during the order process, for a small additional fee.
