  12. Type the name that you want to appear when sending emails from this account in the Your
    name field.

  13. In the Incoming email server field enter the incoming server details.
Here you must decide whether you would like to use the POP3 or IMAP email protocol.
POP3 is the standard protocol for receiving email from a mail server and it allows you to
download all of your emails to one location.
IMAP is best if you access your email from multiple locations, clients and devices as it doesn't
require downloading of your email content. We recommend using IMAP settings on Windows
Live because if anything were to happen to your computer or mobile device, you would still be
    able to access your emails.
    • POP3: mail.YOURDOMAIN (eg: mail.hosting‐australia.com)
    • IMAP: mail.YOURDOMAIN (eg: mail.hosting‐australia.com)

  14. Select the Account type that corresponds to the incoming server you selected in Step 11.

  15. In the Username, field type the email address that you are setting up i.e
john@mydomain.com and in the Password field type the password for your mailbox.
  16. In the Outgoing (SMTP) email server section enter: mail.hosting‐australia.com
Note: this setting is the same as the incoming server.

  17. Select the options Outgoing server requires authentication and Use the same username
    and password for sending emails.
  18. Select the options Outgoing server requires authentication and Use the same username
    and password for sending emails.

  19. Your mailbox is now setup and ready to use on your Windows Phone.

Manually Configuring Email on Windows Mobile

The following steps are required to configure Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync on a Windows
Phone:

  1. Locate the Settings options from within your application menu.

  2. Select Email + Accounts

  3. Select Add an Account

  4. Select the option for Advanced Setup

  5. Enter your full email address and password for your account. Then press the sign in

    Autodiscover:
Hosting Australia Hosted Exchange has Autodiscover and at this point if your Email

account automatically. If this doesn’t happen and you are sure the Email and password
are correct you may need to continue the setup manually

  6. Select Exchange ActiveSync.

  7. Ensure your email address remains correct.
Leave the Domain field blank. Enter the following address for Server:
    mail.hosting‐australia.com

  8. Select the sign in button. Once connected, you will see a new icon within your settings
menu with the name of your new email account.
